Wir waren Weihnachten und Sivester 2023 /2024 mit einer reisegesellschaft zum 2.mal in diesem Hotel zu Gast und waren wieder einmal sehr zufrieden .Das Weihnachtsfest sowie der Jahreswechsel in diesem schönen Hotel ließen keine Wünsche offen alles war sehr festlich und in einer wunderschönen athmosphäre  noch zu erwähnen bleibt ein sehr zuvorkommend servicpersonal empatisch und aufmerksam was man auch der Hotelchefin attestieren muss. Was der einzige Minuspunkt war das am letzten Abend die Hotelgäste gebeten wurden einen finanziellen Obolus für eine Reise die dem Personal durch die hotelchefin finanziert werden sollte zu leisten  was wir etwas befremdlich fanden  denn wir haben während unseres Aufenthaltes schon das  Personal mit Trinkgelder großzügig bedacht vielleicht ist das anders zu regeln als ein Körbchen mit der Bitte um eine personalspendezu handhaben

Wir waren zu Gast im Hotel Grünberger in der Nebensaison. Insgesamt ist es ein schönes Hotel, das sehr gut an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel angebunden ist, in Fußweite gibt es Supermärkte. Das Zimmer war sauber, allerdings gab es im Badezimmer kaum Abstellmöglichkeiten. Der Wellnessbereich bietet einen kleinen Pool und eine Sauna, die wir alleine nutzen konnten. Die Sauna konnten wir an unserem zweiten Abend jedoch nicht mehr benutzen, weil die Rezeption, die man für das Aufheizen der Sauna kontaktieren musste, bereits vor 20 Uhr nicht mehr erreichbar war. Wegen der geringen Gästezahl war das Frühstück weniger üppig. Glutenfreie Brötchen waren gar nicht auf Vorrat. Der Kaffee hat uns leider nicht geschmeckt und der Tee ist größtenteils in Plastikteebeutel verpackt, was nicht besonders nachhaltig ist.

What can I say.  Really enjoyed our stay at this local hotel.

We were visiting the Berchtesgaden area with friends in preparation to do some sightseeing, and we needed a place to stay. We ran across this little gem. Note, their brochure says they are a locally owned family hotel.

We were professionally greeted by a multilingual young lady named Martina.  She advised that the hotel would be closing for 1 month beginning on 10/31/23.

Luckily,  we only needed 1 nights lodging. If we needed more and they were open, we would have definitely stayed additional nights.

The rooms are adequate in size and clean. The bathrooms are also nice.  They have a pool, which we did not use, and our stay came with a complementary breakfast.

The breakfast was buffet style with eggs, bacon, hams, breads, cerals, and juices.

Checkout was seemless and easy. Martina again took care of us.

Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen, die Angestellten waren alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück war sehr appetitlich angerichtet, sehr reichhaltig und lecker, alles war sehr sauber, das Schwimmbad war ein sehr schönes Extra, Sauna haben wir nicht benutzt, Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist okay, wir empfehlen das Hotel weiter.
Einzig, die Parkplätze, sind der Grund für den Sternabzug, es gibt nicht ausreichend für alle Gäste, weil derzeit gegenüber dem Hotel auf dem großen Parkplatz eine Baustelle ist und man dort nicht parken darf, am Hotel gab es wenige Parkplätze und die waren ständig besetzt, einen Abend mussten wir weiter weg parken und dort konnte nur bis 10 Uhr morgens kostenfrei geparkt werden...

Hotel Grünberger Superior is a hidden gem nestled in the charming mountain town of Berchtesgaden. It enjoys a fantastic central location, conveniently situated just across the street from the train station. The hotel's prime location places you within walking distance of the central bus and taxi stand, the train station, numerous restaurants (we particularly found Burger King to be a lifesaver), and various grocery shops (with DM, REWE, and ALDI all reachable within a 5-minute stroll).

The buses for all the key attractions, such as Konigsee Lake, Eagles Nest, Hintersee, & even Salburg depart from the central bus station, making it incredibly convenient to plan and keep track of timings right from the comfort of your hotel balcony.

The hotel's staff is exceptionally friendly and always ready to assist you. They even gave us two transport cards which allowed us to roam around the town without paying for any bus tickets. While the rooms are relatively simple, they provide a cozy ambiance and offer delightful views of the town's focal point. The presence of a gentle stream in front of the hotel adds an extra touch of charm to its overall beauty.

The breakfast selection is somewhat limited, but given the reasonable prices and the sheer convenience of the hotel, it's hardly a drawback. However, the hotel's restaurant was closed during our stay, which was a minor downside.

In summary, our stay at Hotel Grünberger Superior was a delightful experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for a hassle-free and enjoyable stay in Berchtesgaden.
